Bayshores, built in 1978, is the first and larger of 2 sister buildings- Bayshores and Gulfshores. A 7 story mid-rise with 6 floors of residential over the lobby level. They are enjoined as one condo association. Bayshores, like its sister building, offers an up close connection with the Gulf on a very private section of Vanderbilt Beach. Consider that the 2 main public accesses are a good distance away in either direction. The south side of Bayshores is flanked by the only 13 single family homes on Vanderbilt Beach with a few public beach paths but no available parking.
Bayshores consists of 30 units total with 5 units per floor. The larger 3 bedrooms comprise the end units in both buildings. The units are numbered according to which building they’re located in. Bayshores units always begin with the number 1 denoting the first of 2 buildings built. The 2nd number denotes which floor the unit is on. The 3rd number denotes which stack. Conversely, the units in its sister building, Gulfshores, always begin with the number 2 being the 2nd building that was built.
The units range in size from some 1300′-1600′ square feet. Under cover catwalks lead to each unit. Their extraordinary presence to the Gulf is coupled with many through views to the bay. A beautiful green space with a rush of sea grapes provides a buffer to the Gulf with a wooden catwalk that leads to the sugary sand and sea. The scenery to the Gulf is like a page out of a story book titled “Enchanted”.
Amenities include it’s own beach side pool and sundeck situated at the south end of the building, 13 cabanas and an on-site Manager that oversees both buildings. In addition, Bayshores shares use rights for an elevated bay side tennis court and 34 boat slips (lifts permitted) with 3 other buildings: its adjacent sister building Gulfshores and Vanderbilt Bay 1 and 2 just across the street where the tennis court and boat slips are located.
There are 11 detached garages total. The majority of units have one assigned open parking space with extra parking allotted to Bayshores across the street at Vanderbilt Bay I. An entry phone provides security into Bayshores lobby.
Bayshores is one of the most laid back buildings on Vanderbilt Beach with bi-weekly rentals allowed (very rare on the beach) and a generous guest policy in absence of the owner. Pets are not allowed with the exception of tropical fish and caged birds.
